About Tomas Hotel

Welcome to Tomas Hotel

A family heritage in the heart of San Pedro

Tomas Hotel opened its doors in 1969, back when San Pedro was just a quiet fishing village with sandy streets and a handful of visitors. Founded by our father, Tomas, the hotel was built on a simple idea, to create a place where travelers could feel at home while experiencing the beauty and warmth of Belize. More than fifty years later, his children and grandchildren proudly carry on that legacy, keeping the same spirit of hospitality alive.

Our location is convenient. We’re in the heart of San Pedro, just minutes from the Caribbean Sprinter water taxi and a 10-minute walk from both Maya Island Air and Tropic Air at the airport. Step outside to gift shops, coffee spots, restaurants, and bars. The beach is less than a 3-minute walk, giving you easy access to the Caribbean’s sun, sand, and turquoise water. Everything you need is at your doorstep.

Inside, our rooms are spacious, fully air-conditioned, and designed for your comfort. Each room features either one or two Double beds, a private shower with hot and cold water, a 55″ TV, mini fridge, microwave, drinking water, and free Wi-Fi. Our back veranda offers a quiet retreat, perfect for morning coffee, a good book, or sharing stories with fellow travelers.

Tomas Hotel is more than just a place to stay. It’s a family-run landmark that’s seen San Pedro grow from a village into the vibrant island town it is today. Here, guests arrive as strangers but leave as part of our story, just the way our father intended.

Where Adventure Meets Relaxation

Welcome to San Pedro

San Pedro, on Ambergris Caye is the largest island in Belize, is affectionately called “La Isla Bonita,” or “The Beautiful Island.” It’s a tropical paradise that’s perfect whether you want to relax, explore, or do a little of both. With crystal-clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and a warm, welcoming community, it’s easy to see why visitors fall in love with this island.
The Local Vibe

San Pedro has a laid-back, friendly atmosphere shaped by Mayan, Creole, and Garifuna heritage. Locals embrace the slower pace of island life, and you’ll feel it too as you stroll through town, chat with shopkeepers, or enjoy a cold drink on the beach.

Food You’ll Love

The island is a foodie’s dream. From casual beachside spots to fine dining, there’s something for every palate.

International Flavors: Mexican, Italian, and American cuisine are easy to find in town.

Don’t forget to check the markets for fresh tropical fruits like coconuts, mangoes, papayas, and bananas.
